Transition Teams

All hands on deck! We need your help! This growing is going to be fun, exciting and a bit confusing at times if we aren’t all on the same page. Moving to Heather Farms, and then back to our new Unity Center is going to take good organization. Pitch in and sign up to help where you can! You can sign up right on this website!

Move Management

Management of logistics is crucial. What goes where and is it being stored correctly? Who is keeping track? What is easy to get to and what can be safely tucked away for awhile? What is fragile and what is temperature sensitive? Who keeps the records and where? Can’t guess? It’s Charlene Balderston and Mike McGarvey! Sweet!

Decorations

For people who want to help with we look like at the Services and Special Occasions. Flowers, posters, signs and such.

Welcome Team

This includes those smiling faces greeting you at the door, at the Welcome Table, and of course, make sure there is plenty of coffee! Headed by Mike McGarvey.

Book Center

This is going to be downsized considerably! Still, we need to have people to help manage the books and the sales of same. Barbara Cain will be on this team.

Audio/Visual (includes the Music Team)

Do you have a secret wish to learn to use the camera equipment? To become a videographer? This is very possible! The team would love to welcome you and help you discover the art and science of producing a good video.

A good soundboard operator is an essential part of the team. One might even call it the brains of the outfit when it comes to good production of a service or event at Unity. Come join us in making that happen.

Both audio and visual operations are rotated each month, so that all get a chance to practice their A/V skills, and all get a chance to kick back and just enjoy being part of the congregation.

The Music Team will be headed by Steve Bangs. He will help and be in close communication with other A/V Team members to make sure that the musicians’ needs are met.

Youth

Coordination of youth activities, and Set up/Break Down of Youth Area.
Headed by Jeremy Branch.

Safety

This includes parking, and generally keeping the kids safe.

Transportation of Equipment

Set-Up

Starting next April 19th, we are very fortunate to be able to meet each Sunday, in the Lakeside Club room at Heather Farms. We will be meeting there for a few months while our home becomes a palace of the Spirit. We will have to set up our equipment each Sunday during this time. Here is a list of the wonderful few dedicated early risers who are willing to lend a hand. If you would you like to help in this way, then Sign Up!

Break Down

This happens at the end of the second service. We need a team to take down the various components of the service (flowers, equipment, podium etc.) quickly and efficiently so that the room at Heather Farms is as we found it, and available to others.

The Internet

This is becoming a very useful tool for us! We have this website, a database, and email connections to be maintained. Oh, okay – I’ll do it! :-) Shari Dyer

Fundraising

Have you a creative mind and a willing heart? Maybe some networking skills? What can we do to help others help us? Where is the win/win?
